Dearest Tina and Frank,
I didn't know you, but I learned about Markus and knew the Kornik name from the community and the Parrish. When I read it I had to keep reading because I was very shocked.   I have been praying that God has taken you under his watch and will never leave your side.  You will be tested over and over during this grieving.   I  know your faith will shine through. God bless you.

Parenthood binds us together when we share the joys of looking at young lives discovering the small things in life and develop long lasting friendships. We cry for your loss and share your anguish as if Markus was our own son. I will always remember how happy Markus looked with my son when dueling with Yugioh cards at the Boy Scouts' meetings at the basement of the Sacred Heart Church. Frank & Tina,
As parents we cannot imagine the pain you are experiencing at this devastating tragic event. I (Tommy) still remember the pain my parents endured at the passing away of their only daughter, my only sister at a very young age. We pray that your strong Catholic Faith can help you get through these challenging times. We saw you and Markus on a regular basis at sunday mass at St Pancras where he often served as an altar boy. Markus will be missed by members of the St Pancras and Glendale Communities as well as all of those people who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him in his short life.
I, Cathy Murawski cannot believe your little boy grow to be a young gentleman, graduated grammar school, marched proudly as a boyscout and altar boy can be going to heaven to soon.  Good bless Tina, Frank and family.

Although we don't personally know each other our paths have crossed over the years. Please know that your great loss is deeply felt. Mr. Kotnik you are a staple of our Glendale community. You have done so much to keep us all safe. It has always been most appreciated.
I use to see your dear wife everyday walking your beloved son to school as I went for the bus to go to work in the mornings when he went to school in Glendale.I always thought to myself what a lucky boy to have such a sweet mom to take him to school everyday, always ensuring his safety. Her love through her special care always very evident. I also witnessed the love between the three of you several times in church. Heartwarming to say the least. I will pray for you and your family and your beloved Markus. God bless you both and give you the strength you need to get through this very sad time. Words cannot express how very sorry I am for your loss.

Frank Kotnik, I'm so saddened by this news. I haven't seen you in such a long time, but I do remember meeting your son. My daughter is 2 years older. Markus was one of the bestest of friends I could ever have, also the funniest. He use to talk about his Firebird everyday to us. He always brought a smile to our faces. We'll miss you dude! 



As a member of Cathedral Prep (class of 70) we cherish our brothers as there is no finer collegiate organization that Cathedral. With that, I share in your loss, and will pray and offer a candle for Markus and family in my parish. He left too young but know the Lord has a reason for this and Markus is among God's Angels. I hope God's love will console you.
