Helen Shephard

Passed away on April 27, 2012 at the age of 88. She was the mother of 11 children: John; Edward; Alberta; Cheryl; William; Judy; Kim; Barbara; Joyce, Earl and Richard. She was preceded in death by her daughter Joyce.

Mom was the glue that held it all together. .A loving and kind, gentle mother. The things I remember most, was when she would read to us. Books like the Black Stallion and others. I remember when she would sing to us when we were young. I remember the good smells from her kitchen on holidays, the gathering place for family. I Remember her war hoop, as dad called it. I remember picnics at the old corral in the mountains. Mother will be missed by all who knew her.I love you mom.

Services will be held at Olinger Woods Chapel on Friday, May 4, 2012 with a visitation at 1:00 pm and a funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Golden Cemetery immediately following the services.
