Jack, it has truly been a privilege to have known you.  I have missed you and your family the past 25 years.  You and your family have always been in my thoughts and prayers.  I remember when you baptized me, and guided me through the God and Country Service for Webelos.  You have impacted my entire life, and I will miss you.  God blees.

Pastor Jack married my husband and I on a dark, rainy night in Idledale. Mary and a friend were our witnesses. Although we had never met before, we were greeted with so much love ! Mary even baked brownies for a mini-celebration!
You were in our thoughts for many years,and again now as I express sincere sympathy for such a loss.Prayers for all.

I was blessed to first know Pastor Jack during his time as a youth pastor at Golden Methodist Church. It was through him and Mary that I became a Christian and began my lifelong walk with Jesus. We can all be encouraged that Jack is now celebrating in the arms of his Savior!

I am Lee (McKenry) Sacks, daughter of Charles McKenry, who is Jack's first cousin.  Our family settled in California when my dad retired from the Air Force, but I met Jack in Virginia in the mid 80's when his parents had a ceremony to renew their vows. He told me if I ever decided to get married to let him know, and he would come out to California and perform the ceremony.  When Howard Sacks proposed to me, I did just that, and Jack was true to his word. He and Mary came out to California, and he performed a lovely ceremony for us, after which he told us we were now "super-glued". He was right, because Howard and I have been happily married for 27 years! In our home, I have a beautiful framed picture of Jack, Howard and I, our maid of honor and best man immediately after Jack pronounced us man and wife. I think of him every time I look at it, and so it was with great sadness that I learned he is gone. Our most sincere condolences to Mary and all of Jack's family.  We will never forget him.

Dear cousin Jack,
How we shall all miss you! The Lord Jesus loved you and He took you.
How precious to be with Him!!  I am so thankful that we were able to be together for so many family reunions. I especially enjoyed last summer when I was able to sit by the piano and sing while you played some beautiful hymns and we enjoyed our Lord together!!
I pray the Lord will comfort the hearts of all of your dear family as we say good bye for a time.l

I knew Pastor Jack and Mary for 30 years before I joined their church.  They were a constant reminder of what a true Christian should be.  Jack was always smiling and trying to live up to his nickname Joy Boy. He was a true inspiration to all who knew him.  I love you pastor Jack. Now rest in our saviour's arms.

Rest in peace with God. Thanks for your work here with us. Enjoy time with your daughter in heaven.  Keep watch on your flock until we come to join you. May god ease your family.

Pastor Jack was a true man of God, who walked in the foot steps of Jesus, and is now walking with Jesus in Heaven.  I was deeply saddened to learn of cousin Jack's passing. He always treated me like a kid brother though we were only cousins. I will always cherish the memories of the McKenry and Paris Christmas get togethers where Uncle John would entertain us with his jokes and Jack, Jim and I would swap "guy" stories, Jack being the oldest could always keep Jim and I laughing and waiting for more. He was a fine man and always someone a younger cousin could look up to and be proud of calling family!

Pastor Jack exemplified Christ's love to those he met - a man passionate about the Word and about others coming to know Him through the Word.  We are grateful that our paths crossed in this life and will continue to hold his family and church family in prayers during this time.  With love from Zambia.

This wonderful man helped my family and me so much and he probably didn't realize how much. I'm so blessed to have known him and to have been baptized by him, Praise the Lord. I will miss his voice on POD sermons.
Although I am sad for this world to have lost this great man, I am happy or him that he no longer has the trappings of a human body and his spirit can soar by the side of our Lord and Savior.
May God bring comfort and give strength to the McKenry family, friends and the welcoming Idledale Church parishioners.
