Alice Cedotal Broussard

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Alice passed away at her home in Prairieville on Monday, October 27, 2014. She was 83 and born in Baton Rouge on November 16, 1930. She was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughters, Frankie Favre and Beverly York and partner, Mike Ikerd; sons, Darrel and Lynnette Broussard, Randall and Julie Broussard, Teddy Broussard, and Gerald Broussard; sister, Dot Babin; grandchildren, Terrell Broussard and fiancée Brandy, Clinton Broussard and wife, Wendy, Kristi Broussard, Ryan Broussard and wife Lindsey, Randy Broussard and wife, Lizzie, Kenneth Broussard and wife, Becky, Danielle Broussard, Jason Palmer and wife, Jamie, Gerald Broussard Jr., Alicia Bourque and husband Taner; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pearlie Joseph Broussard; parents, George and Adel Blanchard Cedotal; sisters, Edna Delaune, who raised Alice as her own from a very early age, Marie Louise Cedotal and Therese Ledoux; and brothers, Leonard, Claude, Phillip, and Leslie Cedotal. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Visiting will continue on Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial to follow in Prairieville Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terrell Broussard, Clinton Broussard, Ryan Broussard, Jason Palmer, Randy Broussard and Kenneth Broussard.
