A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she passed away Thursday, May, 13, 2010. She was 77 and a resident of Baton Rouge. Amelia was a retired bookkeeper and native of Bay St. Louis, Miss. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, on Monday, May 17, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a memorial service at 6 p.m. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda Perez Simmons and David Simmons; son and daughter-in-law, Octave Manuel Perez Jr. and Carol Perez; sister, Sophie M. Segelsky; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Segelsky Sr. and Elizabeth Sellers Segelsky; sister, Frances B. Hebert; and a brother, Benjamin Segelsky Jr. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
