Arthur Joseph Daigle, 95, a native and resident of Gonzales, died Saturday, September 25, 2021. He was a retired maintenance supervisor and scheduler for Allied Chemical/Arcadian (Geismar, LA) after serving twenty-two years in the Air Force with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Visitation at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 9:45 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. followed by a recitation of the Rosary until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with the Ftr. Eric Gyan, celebrant. Internment in Cornerview Cemetery, Gonzales. Survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Florence Daigle Duplessis and Burt Duplessis; son and daughter-in-law, Glen Daigle and Mindy Hebert; son, Donald Daigle; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Daigle and Bobby J. Watts Jr.; son, Gary Daigle; son and daughter-in-law, Steven Daigle and Lee Ann Stewart; grandchildren, Joel Daigle, Fran Daigle-Miller, Matthew Watts, Luke Watts, Karen Watts, Erin Daigle, Paige Daigle, Grant Daigle and Julia Daigle; great grandchildren Immanuel Jackson, Jada Daigle, Joely Daigle and Nora Miller. Preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Rita Zimmerman Daigle; son, Dennis Daigle; by his parents, Joseph and Estelle Lanoux Daigle; sister, Marie Daigle Mares; sister, Catherine Daigle Bourgeois; sister Fay Daigle Cranfield; infant sisters, Dolores Daigle and May Daigle; and brother Emanuel Daigle. Pallbearers will be Martin Bourgeois, Jean Daigle, Matthew Watts and Grant Daigle. He was a member and officer of the Knights of Columbus Council 2657, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree state officer and the American Legion Auxiliary unit 81. An avid LSU Tigers fan, he also enjoyed gardening, reading, singing in the St. Theresa Church choir and participating in French Conversation classes. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. John Fraiche, the staff of Francois Bend Senior Living Center, the staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center and Pinnacle Home Health Services.
