Audrey P. Braud

Audrey P. Braud, 94, A native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Audrey was well-known and beloved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. For many years, she worked at numerous children’s clothing boutiques and later at the Woman's Hospital Gift Shop, where she made lasting connections within the community. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Annie Koch Pradat; her son, Keith Braud; her great-granddaughter, Eliyah Kate Hymel; brother, Irwin Pradat; and sister, Thais Moser. She is survived by her daughter, Gay (Danny) Robert; grandchildren, Dustin Braud, Mikie Long, Cori Hymel, Randi Arceneaux, and Ryan Robert; and great-grandchildren, Madelyn Long, Mia Long, Karsyn Womack, Cyrus Hymel, Kohen Hymel, Ember Hymel, and Kade Arceneaux. Audrey's love for her family and the joy she took in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will always be cherished. A visitation will be held at St. Theresa of Avila Church on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers honored to serve will be Ryan Robert, Scott Hymel, Damon Arceneaux, Rod Braud, Chad Long, and Joey Templet. The family would like to extend special thanks to Audrey’s sitters, Tena and Iriel, and the hospice team for their care and support during her final days. Audrey’s kindness, warmth, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
