Barbara Blanchard Guillot

Barbara Blanchard Guillot passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025 at the age 90. She is survived by her daughters, Melanie (Mark) Bordelon, Celeste (Tom) Bubrig and Elizabeth (Todd) Bowden; seven grandchildren, Kelly (Jereme) Scott, Janet (Scott) Whitfield, Scott (Mikelyn) Bordelon, Grant (Bobby) Austin, Louis (Marissa Baer) Bubrig, Kate Bowden and Claire Bowden; eight great-grandchildren – Liam, Nora and Vail Scott, Benjamin and Anna Whitfield, and Emersyn, Stella and Brooks Bordelon, siblings Elaine (Henry) Adolph, Peggy (Steve) Cupit and Ernie (Argie) Blanchard. Preceded in death by her husband, Allen Guillot, parents Ernest and Ruby Blanchard and sister and brother-in-law Ruby Faye (David) Simoneaux.

Barbara was a teacher at Gonzales Middle School. She, along with her husband Allen, were avid supporters of the City of Gonzales and volunteered in many capacities. She was a long-time member of the Gonzales Garden Club.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. The visitation will begin at 11AM until the service time of 1PM. There will be a private burial at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Mausoleum in Gonzales.
