Charles "Ken" Kenneth Pope

GONZALES – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Charles “Ken” Pope, age 53, at 11:00 am Monday, June 2, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Interment will follow at Galvez Public Cemetery in Prairieville. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, June 2, 2014 at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. A native of Laurel, Mississippi and resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana, Ken passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 9:30 pm. Ken was an avid motorcyclist. He was also a Dessert Storm Veteran serving in the US Army. Ken worked as a mechanic for many years at Heck Industries. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Pope; son, Jonathan Pope and wife Krystal; sister, Patty Pope and fiancé Mike Tanner; niece, Tiffany Burton and husband Jay and great-niece, Skye Burton. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Allen Pope; paternal grandparents, John L. and Ida Black Pope; maternal grandparents, Zettie Bell Windom McInnis and Larney McInnes; and maternal grandfather, Monroe Logan.
