Charles S. "Chuck" Johnson

Charles S. “Chuck” Johnson, age 44, passed away surrounded by his family and friends on Wednesday, October 21, 2015. He was a resident of Jonesboro, LA. Chuck was a kind person with a terrific sense of humor. He had many friends and touched everyone who met him. During college, Chuck worked for Med Camps for 2 years. Chuck is survived by his father, Shelton Johnson; sisters, Jeanne Johnson Bertrand and husband, Andrew, Dawn Johnson Toms and husband, Jeffery, Nancy Johnson Tucker and husband Stacy; nieces and nephews, Victoria, Blake, and Brandt Bertrand, A.J. Toms and wife, Mallarie, Alyssa Toms Jones and husband, Josh, Alex Toms, Abram Toms, Jordyn Odom, Sydney Odom, Drew Odom, Cory Tucker; great nephew, Eli Jones; close friends, Jay Helmer and wife Angela. Chuck is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Polk Johnson. A memorial gathering will be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church (211 Ebenezer Church Rd, Jonesboro, LA 71251; (318) 259-8891) on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 9:30 am until a Life Celebration Service at 11:00 am. Following the service, Chuck will be interred with his best girl, Daisy at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
