

Claude A. Kelly 74, passed away 2:45pm Thursday Aug. 25 at his home in Baton Rouge, LA. Mr. Kelly was born March 8, 1942 in Denham Springs, LA to Dawson V. Sr. and Annie Mae Whitehead Kelly. Mr. Kelly was an Iron worker by trade and was a member of the construction crew who built the new bridge in Baton Rouge. He was a United States Army Veteran, and a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church of Baton Rouge.
Survivors include sisters; Betty Harelson, Shirley (Dennis) Scivicque all of Baton Rouge, Sarah Averett, Joyce Cooper all of Denham Springs, brothers; A.J. Kelly, Dawson V. Kelly, Jr., Glenn Kelly and Danny Kelly all of Baton Rouge, numerous nieces and nephews, special friend Janice. Preceded in death by his parents and nephew Jerry Averett.
Visitation will be Tuesday August 30 from 9 to 11am with his funeral service at 11am at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales the Rev. Lewis Richerson will officiate.
The family would like to thank Nurse Meta with New Century Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church of Baton Rouge.
