Corey Anthony Gautreaux

A resident of Gonzales, Corey passed away Tuesday April 4, 2017 in Gonzales at the age of 50. Corey was an Instrument Technician for BASF for 26 years. Visitation will take place at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales on Saturday April 8, 2017 from 8:30 AM until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM celebrated by Father Rubin Reynolds. The interment will follow at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park in Prairieville. Corey is survived by his wife of 27 years, Amy Jo Bourque Gautreaux of Gonzales; father and mother John "Billy" and Rita Gautreaux of Gonzales; daughter and son-in-law Amber Gautreaux Trahan and Adam Trahan of Gonzales; son Vance Gautreaux and fiancé Jade Bardwell of Gonzales; brother and sister-in-law Craig Gautreaux and Lorna Schexnaydre Gautreaux of Gonzales; and sisters and brothers-in-law Charmaine Gautreaux Babin and Tim Babin and Carla Gautreaux Ruiz and Chad Ruiz of Gonzales. Corey is preceded in death by his grandparents: Allie and Vivian Gautreau, Julian and Adele Gautreau and grandson Dawson Murphy Trahan. Pallbearers will be: Craig Gautreaux, Shane Gautreaux, Tim Babin, Chad Ruiz, Russell Bourque, Ryan Bourque, Blair Bourgeois and Ricky Lambert. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrel Bourque and Randy Bourque. Corey was a musician, enjoyed NASCAR, hunting, fishing, cooking and loved spending time with his family and friends.
