Delton Joseph Delatte

Delton Joseph Delatte age 74 and a native and life long resident of Whitehall, LA. died on Tuesday June 10, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was a retired Iron worker and welder with Local # 623 and farmer. Visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, LA., on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 5 PM until 9 PM. Visitation will resume on Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Whitehall, LA. from 9 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM celebrated by Rev. Jason Palermo and Deacon Jimmy Little. Burial will follow at the Whitehall Community Cemetery. Mr. Delton is survived by his loving wife, Lois Smiley Delatte, 1 Daughter and Son-in-law, Melissa (Missy) and Steve Scivicque. 2 Sons and Daughters-in-law, Anthony (Ankie) and Diane Delatte, and Melton (Ticky) and Stephanie Delatte all of Whitehall, LA. 2 Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Emelda and Noblisse Fontenot of Whitehall, LA. , and Lena and Stanley Balfantz of Bear Island, LA. 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters-in-law, Nolan Delatte, David and Dianna Delatte and Gilbert and Marie Delatte all of Whitehall, LA. . 7 Grandchildren, Chase and Alicia Delatte, Tyler and Hannah Delatte and Nathan, Kade and Chaz Scivicque. 2 Great Grandchildren, Lathan Scivicque and Jo'nn Delatte and his pet Penny. Mr. Delton was preceded in death his son Elton Ricky Delatte , his parents, Arthur Joseph and Esther Brown Delatte and his granddaughter, Kayla Scivicque. Serving as pallbearers will be Chase Delatte, Nathan, Kade and Chaz Scivicque, and William and Geson "Jr." Raymundo. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Alicia and Hannah Delatte. Mr. Delton was a member of the Whitehall Community Cemetery Board. He loved going to baseball games, farming and being on his tractors.
