Doris Jean Brewer passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the age of 85. She was a native of Echo, LA and a resident of Gonzales, LA. Doris Jean had a greenthumb and anything she touched it grew. She was a phenomonal cook. Her greatest joy was taking the grandchildren on vacation every year after they turned 4 years of age. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Louis Gray; son, Ray Ryan; parents, Amadie and Lottie Grantadam; sister, Joyce Dauzat. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Pamela (Chester "Chip") Diez, Linda (Benny) Clark; sons, Michael (Becky) Ryan, David (Tracy) Ryan, Richard Gray; daughter in law, Carol Ryan; sisters, Ledonia Bonnette, Sedonia Roy; brother, Gerald (Kathy) Grantadam; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; special friends, Joanne DeShazo, Tess Jerusalem and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family and friends of Doris Jean are invited to attend the Visitation on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Church of Christ, 1225 Purpera Rd. Gonzales, LA from 10am-2pm with Funeral Services immediately following. Interment: Hope Haven Garden of Memory-Prairieville.
