

He passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at the Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Baton Rouge. He was 81 and a native of Paulina and resident of Sorrento. He was a Supervisor at CF Industries and retired from Local #53. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearl Tullier Poché; sons, Farley Painter Sr. and wife Trudy, Todd Poché, Tad Poché and wife Patti; daughters, Teel Smith and companion Aaron St. Pierre, Tanny Vaughan and husband John “Bean”; brothers, Ronald Poché and wife Carol, Sherwood Poche’ and wife Linda, Lanny Poché and wife Janell; sister, Merlyn P. Schexnaydre; grandchildren, Farley Jr., Gad, Joel Painter, Courtney Belanger, Haley Lanoux, Jordy, Tyler, Emily Poché, Cody, Cort, Caige, Caystin Poché, Miranda, Caleb, Sarah “Jael”, Javan Smith, Dylan and Hayden Vaughan; 12 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Bradley Tullier and wife Karen; sister-in-law, Sarah Poché. Preceded in death by a son, Baby Poché; parents, Noemie Marie Kinler and Rodolphe Joseph Poché; great-grandchild, Bryant Belanger; brothers, Marvin, Arlen Sr. “Plug”, Ralph Poché; and sisters, Gail P. Troxclair, Kay and Fay Poché. A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 from 5 pm until 9 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 8 am until service at 11 am, with Pastor Matt Bourgeois officiating. Pallbearers will be Brad Tullier, Gad Painter, Caleb Smith, Cort Poché, Tyler Poché and Dylan Vaughan. Honorary pallbearers will be Julius "Punkie" Guidry, Wilson Longanecker Sr., Farley J. Painter Jr., Joel Painter,Caige Poché ,Jordy Poché and Hayden Vaughan.
