Floyd J Stelly

Floyd Joseph Stelly, a native of Lebeau, LA and resident of Gonzales passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday August 1, 2018 at the age of 88. Floyd was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and friends. He proudly served in the US Air Force for 7 years. Throughout his whole life, Floyd had a passion for flying and enjoyed working on engines of any type. Floyd is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Laiche Stelly; daughter, Monica Stelly Speligene and husband, Darren; grandchildren, Devin, Marina, Michaela, and Melisse Speligene, Cecily and Easton Stelly. He is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Paul Stelly; parents, Saul Stelly, Edna and Hillary Vidrine; sister, Barbara Stelly Sims. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant from 8:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Mausoleum. Devin Speligene, Darren Speligene, Easton Stelly, L.J. St. Pierre, Elson Gautreau, Allan Allbritton and Ted Melancon will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Floyd’s honor to the St. Joseph Hospice Foundation.
