Gary Emile Blanchard, age 69, passed away January 4, 2017. He was a native of Labadieville and a resident of Prairieville. Gary was a retired plant supervisor at Agrico and was a Louisiana National Guardsman. Survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathleen Blanchard; mother-in-law, Gloria Naquin Boudreaux; sons and daughters-in-law, Brad Michael and Michelle Pizzolato Blanchard, Bryan Joseph and Michelle Hodges Blanchard; and grandchildren, Jacob, Kale, Taylor, Caroline, Hudson, and Kate. Preceded in death by infant son, Tony; his parents Emile Noe “Ba-da” and Anna Mire Blanchard; sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Blanchard Chamberlain and father-in-law, Russell Herbert Boudreaux. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 6, 2017 from 9:15AM until Mass at 11AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville. Burial will follow at Oak Lane Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Boudreaux, David Boudreaux, Mark Boudreaux, Colby Boudreaux, Brent Boudreaux, Wesley Bruce, and Chad Fernandez. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmie Pizzolato and Eddie Blanchard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to benefit his nephew with special needs, Chris Chamberlain.
