“Miss Nomie” was a native of Acy and a longtime resident of Sorrento, Louisiana. She was born February 4, 1924, and passed away October 15, 2021, in Baton Rouge at the age of 97. “Miss Nomie” is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Woody and “Pookie” Hebert Lambert; grandchildren and their spouse, Wade Lambert, Penny Cornett and husband, “Peanut”; great grandchildren and their spouse, Julia Jessup and husband, Lawson, Ryan Landry, Madison Cornett, Jas Cornett and wife, Logan; great great grandchildren, Eliot and Hayden; brother, Barry Acy and wife, Rilly; nephews and nieces, Clayton Acy, Melton Acy, Anita Acy, Darni Fenerty; and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Sullivan Lambert; infant son, Robert; mother, Theresa Acy; father, Bruce Acy; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruth Dale Acy, June and husband, George Jordan; and a brother and sister-in-law, Vernard “Dut” and wife, Joyce; and nephew, Roby Acy.
