James Gilbert Coburn

James G. Coburn was born on April 14, 1936 in Florien, LA. He served his country honorably in the Army for 22 years earning a bronze medal for his service in the Vietnam War. James passed away peacefully on December 13, 2016 at his home in Livingston, LA surrounded by his loving family. Survived by his wife Lisa Coburn; children Eugene and Lili Hidalgo, Linda and Richard Benz, Michael Hidalgo, Debbie and Leb Upchurch, Teresa and Dale Poucher, Jimmy and Kim Coburn, John and Robin Coburn, Paul and Carrie Coburn; daughter-in-law Colleen Wixon; sister-in-law Elke Coburn; 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his late wife Mary Jane Coburn; parents Newman John Coburn and Mary Pauline Coburn; brothers John Newman and Hilton “Shorty” Coburn; sister Hilda Murphy and son Terry Coburn. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 16, 2016 from 5PM – 8PM at First Apostolic Church in Gonzales. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 11AM until service at 12PM.
