Ken left this world peacefully at his home in Prairieville, La on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 69. He was a loving husband, father, brother, in-law and friend. Ken was a retired outboard boat mechanic who loved working on boats. His favorite hobbies included fishing, camping, LSU Sports, and road trip vacations. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dannay Bourgeois, son, Ryan Bourgeois, and daughter, Memorie Bourgeois; sisters, Karen B. Daniel, and Patricia Bourgeois; mother-in-law, Annie Kramer; father-in-law, Charles Almond; sisters-in-law, Therese Bourgeois, and Deney Parker; and brothers-in-law, Shawn (Mindy) Kramer and Tweed (Laura) Almond. He is also survived by his daily fur buddies, Molly and Brutus, and his special buddies Nicholas and Adam Parker who were really like his grandchildren. He also had many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that he loved and left behind. He was preceded in death by his father, John B. Bourgeois Jr., his mother, Bertha "Bootsie" Bourgeois, brothers, Blain and David Bourgeois, and father-in-law, Richard Kramer Sr. We would like to give a special thanks to the Hospice of Baton Rouge nurse, Hannah. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect nurse for Ken. She was just as passionate about boats and fishing as Ken was. They loved sharing fishing stories with each other. A memorial service for Ken will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 11 am until 2 pm at Ourso Funeral Home of Gonzales. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Ken's name at www.stjude.org/donate
