Joseph Clarence Guedry

A resident of Gonzales, he died at the age of 89 at his residence Saturday, June 2, 2012. He was a native of Acy. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Visiting at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales, on Tuesday, June 5 from 9:30 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, in Gonzales. He is survived by two daughters, Colinda LeGrand and Lisa Garza, both of Gonzales; two sons, Steve Guedry and wife Kathy, of Texas, Craig Guedry and wife Anne, of St. Amant; daughter-in-law, Jennifer Guedry of Prairieville; four granddaughters, Melissa, Aubrey, Rhienna, and Sara; two grandsons, Christopher and Colton; four great-grandchildren; brother, Harvey Guedry and wife Marie, of Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Guedry; son, Michael Guedry; parents, Sylvania and Anastase Guedry; one brother, Orellion "Newt"; five sisters, Leontine Hanna, Orelia Sheets, Regina "Bea" Cicet, Ophelia Wagner, and Hester Laiche.
