

Julia L. McIntyre Pape known to many as Pat was born on 12/12/1938 in Waller, Texas and passed peacefully from this life on 06/22/2017 at 5:48 a.m., with her children nearby. Arrangements are: Visitation on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home on Airline Hwy in Gonzales. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Hwy 73 in Prairieville, La. from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Jerry Martin officiating begins at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Oak Lane Memorial Park. Pat was a wonderful friend to many and a loving mother to many more, both human and her fur babies. There was never a time that there were no dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, or etc. in the house. She was generous and gave even when she didn’t have it to share. She opened her heart and home to many. Julia is survived by her four children, Brenda and Leroy Hebert, Lisa and Stephan Babin, Carla and Brett Rushing, Carl “Randy” and Shonia Pape. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and spouses; Jason Duncan, Michael & Alice Babin, Miranda & Mark Colligan, Kade & JoAnn Babin, Justin and Jayna Babin, Robert & Kayla Pape, Chase Pape, Kelly Pape, 3 step-grandchildren Miranda Raines, Crista Craig and Wesley Craig. 22 great grandchildren. Also survived by three brothers and their spouses, Donald, Lloyd and Raymond McIntyre. Three brothers in law and spouses, Kenneth & Karen Pape, Wayne & Sue Pape and Ron Westbrook. Two sisters-in-law; Iva and Larry Slack, Lola and Chuck Chaka. Her spiritually adopted daughter and granddaughter, Brenda & Julia Whitney. Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61.5 years, Carl W. Pape and her brother Calvin, sisters Darlene and Linda, brother-in-law Benjamin. Jason Duncan, Michael Babin, Kade Babin, Justin Babin, Chase Pape, Ty Hebert, and Timmy Pape will serve as pallbearers. Robert Pape, Stephan Babin, Leroy Hebert, and Brett Rushing will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. The family would like to thank Cardinal Hospice nurses Kim and Dena and her aide Shakita. Thanks also to Randy and Shonia who put their lives on hold to care for momma since she began hospice.
