June Bourge, a resident of Colyell, La passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, surrounded by family. She was 94 years old. She was a member of the Landmark Pentecostal Church of Livingston. June is survived by her sister, Ruth Colby; sons, Melvin Wheat and wife Melanie, Tim Wheat and wife Tammy and Charles Wheat; daughters, Lydia Joan Rogers and Linda Wheat; stepchildren, Billie Bourge and wife Karen, Joe Bourge and wife Walda, Rita Pfister and husband Roland, Dee Dee Minvielle and husband Kim; 17 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Raoul Bourge; daughter, Paulette Bentley; son, Johnathan Hank Wheat; granddaughter, Trina Bentley; great-grandson, Aaron Rogers; parents, Otho Fremont and Bessie Lee Bell; sisters, Alma Talley, Irma Blount, and Mary Bass; brothers, Robert Bell, James Bell, and Harrell Bell and son-in-law, Billy Rogers. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 10 am until the funeral service at 12 pm at Midway Baptist Church in Satsuma. With Bro Jack Varnado officiating and special speaker Bro. Malcolm Meyers. She will be laid to rest at Blount Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeremy Manning, Rowdee Andrews, Dylan Bryan, William Rogers, Zack Wheat, and Johnny Martin.
