Linda Kay Ussery

Linda Kay Ussery, a native of Yazoo City, MS and resident of Gonzales, passed away at her home on February 15, 2018 at the age of 71. Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, known to everyone as “Dudda”, who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a joy to everyone around her and always showed love and compassion to anyone she met. Linda was a passionate member of First United Methodist Church in Gonzales where she also taught Sunday school. Linda is survived by her daughter, Linda Larrice Hertzell and husband, Billy; son, Stephen Gurod Ussery; grandchildren, Grey Gurod Ussery, Jack Henry Ussery, Wyatt Clet Hertzell, Whitney Claire Hertzell; sister, Sylvia Shackelford and husband, Bobby; nieces and nephews, Sherlyn Kay Cannon and husband, Will, Richard René Shackelford and wife, Libby, David Dwight Shackelford and wife, Kelly, Tracye York. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Nona Smith; brother, Ronald Dwight Smith. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at First United Methodist Church of Gonzales from 10:00 am until a memorial service at 11:00 am.
