

Lois Elaine Hemphill passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the age of 79. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She is survived by her husband Micheal Hemphill, her daughter Julie Spriggs and son-in-law Mike Spriggs, her son Brad Sievers and daughter-in-law Brandi Sievers; seven grandchildren, Jack Spriggs (Julianne), Gabrielle Spriggs, Grace Spriggs, Talon Sievers, Peyton Sievers, Micheal Hemphill and Megan Hemphill. She is also survived by her siblings, Catherine Schmeckpeper, Barb Bartak, Mary Burk, Richard Woslager (Shirley) and Bill Woslager (Mary) and numerous nieces, nephews and family members.
She is preceded in death by parents, Aletha and Alphonso Woslager, her sister Janette Cradit and brother-in-law Rick Cradit, brother-in-law Mike Bartak, infant sister Corla Rose and nephew Patrick Burk.
Lois loved to spend time with her family and friends. She could always be found cooking special treats for all of those she loved. Lois was a devout Catholic and spent many dedicated hours at the adoration chapel at St. George. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Dr. Baton Rouge, LA 70809. The visitation will begin at 9:00 AM with a Mass to be celebrated by Fr. Paul Yi at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Vincent de Paul Battered Women’s Shelter / Sweet Dreams Shelter.
