Margaret "Peggy" Mayers

Margaret “Peggy” Mayers passed away on January 30, 2026 at the age of 83. Born on January 4, 1943, to Edwin and Helen Beck, Peggy grew up in Miami, Florida. She spent most of her adult life in Kansas, where she raised her four children: Michelle Frederick (Lonny), Kim Gampper (Jim), Christine Richter (Mike), and Sean Mayers (Tracie). Later, she moved to Louisiana and had been a resident of Gonzales for many years. Peggy is survived by her four children and six grandchildren—Jordan Frederick, Erin Rydberg (Michael), Ryan Richter, Jack Richter, Ethan Mayers, and JuJu Mayers. She was also cherished by friends whom she enjoyed spending time with.

Peggy found joy in the simple beauty of nature. She had a deep love for her plants and enjoyed watching her birds. Additionally, she was an avid collector, particularly of antiques, always on the lookout for a good find to add to her collection.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 9:00am till 11:00am at Ourso Funeral Home, located at 13533 Airline Hwy. Gonzales, LA 70737. A private burial will be held at a later date.
