Lorri was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in1972, as the first child to Roy and Margaret Boiteaux. She grew up surrounded by the love and care of her parents, enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends, learning dance at an early age all the way through college and living a fun, free-spirited childhood. She graduated from Bishop Sullivan High School; later she attended Southeastern Louisiana where she studied nursing and graduated with her RN from Our Lady of the Lake nursing school. Lorri loved her job as a nurse, finding importance in the care she gave to many children at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Despite her care of children at work, she went home each night to give more love and care to her husband and three children. On the surface, she appeared to live a simple life, but she lived a life each day working hard to support those closest to her. Lorri absolutely loved going to the beach and on cruises in summer, spending time with her dachshunds, or getting out of the house to enjoy trying new restaurants all across South Louisiana. She is Catholic, always trying to grow closer in her faith and establish a positive, deep relationship with the Lord. She truly was the rock and foundation of her family, always offering love and support to others, often at times, giving love and support when she didn’t have much time to give to herself. Lorri will forever remain in the hearts of those she was close to for her selfless nature, gentle personality, witty humor and kind heart. She healed and shaped a positive, hopeful future for those she gave all of herself to including her husband James of 25 years, son James IV, daughter Hannah, youngest son Andrew, parents Roy and Margaret, brother R.J., three nephews Kye, Carter and Anderson, father-in-law Jim, mother-in-law Peggy, sister-in-law Molly and many other relatives and friends. She will live on through the actions and love shown by those fortunate enough to have known her beautiful soul. Her body may have passed, but her memory and soul live on through the love and grace of the Lord.
