Mickie James Morgan
14 December, 1932 – 22 January, 2022

Mickie James Morgan, a native and lifelong resident of St. Amant, Mickie passed away at his home on January 22, 2022 at the age of 89. He retired as the Instrumentation Superintendent at BASF Corporation and was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. Mickie enjoyed camping, golf and a good hand of gin. He loved sporting events and was a longtime booster of the St. Amant Gators. Visiting will be at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant on Monday, January 31st from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15 am. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his four children and their spouses: Tammie and Steve Broussard, Neil and Lila Morgan, Todd and Jill Morgan and Stacie and Shane Harris. Twelve grandchildren: Paisley Morgan (Justin), Kaci Core (Ryan), Kelsie Gautreau (Dustin), Mason, Madelyn, Baylie, Peyton and Carson Morgan, Joshua Landry, Quinn, Grant and Collin Harris. Seven great grandsons: Graham and Grayson Morgan, Briar and Sawyer Core, Luke, Slade and Jett Gautreau. He is also survived by his only sister Elsie “Pookum” Lazarus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie (Braud) and Herman Morgan, brothers Ulger “Ully”, Gregory “Bubba” and Reggie Morgan and his wife of 48 years June Sheets Morgan and infant son Randy.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 Hwy 429, St. Amant, LA 70774
