

A lifelong resident of Sorrento, the self-appointed and undisputed mayor of Brittany, he passed away Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at the age of 90. He was a World War II Navy veteran and served on the USS Kidd. He was an avid gardener, carpenter, Saints and LSU fan, and he loved to dance. He is survived by daughter, Deborah L. Lee; sons-in-law, Melton Tullier and John D. Wild; grandchildren, Glenn Tullier and wife Michelle, Susan Tullier Gautreau and husband Mike "Chan", Melissa Wild Temple, John David Wild II and wife Alicia, Jennifer Braud Christiansen, Jacob Braud and wife Leigh Ann; great-grandchildren, Cody Tullier, Micah and Dillon Gautreau, Heather and Lauren Temple, J.D. and Landon Wild, Bailey and Mason Braud, Connor Christiansen; honorary grandchildren, Vandiford, Amelia and Larson Beech; brothers, Edmond "Bibbie" Lee and wife Hazel, Eli "Tup" Lee, Garner Lee and wife Marlene; and sisters, Mercedes "Mert" LeBlanc, Elvina "Shootsie" Schexnayder and husband Jay. Preceded in death by wife of 65 years Lilburne Nettles Lee; daughters, Nancy Lee Tullier and Judy Lee Wild; parents, Julia Tanner and Robert Lee; brothers, Robert "Dookie", Joseph "Pookie", Thomas; and sisters, Stella, Violet, Bertie. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at Sorrento Baptist Church, Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 9 a.m. until religious services at noon. Interment to follow in New River Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Amant. Pallbearers will be Glenn Tullier, John David Wild, Jacob Braud, Mike "Chan" Gautreau, Cody Tullier, Micah and Dillon Gautreau, and Vandiford Beech.
