Ollie P. Johnson Goings "Ellene"

The funeral service for Mrs. “Ellene” Ollie Pearl Johnson Goings will be on February 1, 2024, at Colyell Baptist Church, Livingston, Louisiana. The Rev. Jeremy Glascock will officiate. Visitation will begin from 11 AM until the funeral service at 1 PM. The interment will be in Colyell Community Cemetery. Mrs. Goings, a resident of Livingston Parish, died Monday, January 29, 2024, at Golden Age Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Denham Springs. She was 90, born April 13, 1933, in Tylertown, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Ellis Robert and the late Pearl Mae Melton Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Evon Johnson Waldrop; a brother, Robert Ellie Johnson; and a daughter and son-in-law, Janice Dianne Goings Melchior and her husband Charles “Charlie” John Melchior III. Mrs. Goings is survived by her sisters Mrs. Lois Ezell Henry, and Mrs. Ada Louise Masi, both of Tylertown, Mississippi, and Mrs. Mary Grace Kisamore of Livingston; her daughter-in-law and son, Carol Ann and Douglas Adrean Goings of Broussard, Louisiana; and her daughter Dorothy Jean Goings of Livingston; her grandson and his wife, Jeffery Charles, and Edith Angel Melchior, and their children, Samantha Ann and Brandon Adrean of Walker, Louisiana; her grandson and his wife, Christopher Adrean and Patra Melchior of Gonzales.
