Samuel Ray Allen

Samuel Ray Allen, Sr was a loving husband, father and grandfather. A native of Sorrento, LA and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on July 9, 2021, at our Lady of the Lake at the age of 73. He was preceded in death by his wife, Millie Rivet Allen; his parents Wilbert and Lois Allen; his in-laws Alvin and Hazel Rivet; sisters: Cindy Allen and Lillian Ross; brother in-law Butch Blankenship and nephews Corey and Cody Gueho and niece Anna LeMieux. He is survived by his daughters, Tara Allen Williams (Marvin), Dana Allen Duhon (Jude) and Brooke Allen (Marcus); sons, Ray Allen and Blake Rivet (Jennifer); Grandchildren; Shayla Bell (Kyle), Taylor Allen, Frannie Rivet, Alexa Jarreau (Caleb), Derek Allen (Alexandria), Jamey Rivet (Mercedes), Eric Martin (Riki), Kristin Martin (James), Hunter Roddy (Rebecca), and Kyle Roddy. Great Grandchildren; Makayla Allen, Addison Bell, Jaxx Scheffler, Peyton Martin, Arielle Bell, Caden Allen, Scarlet Rivet, Annie Bell, Savanah Rivet and Waylon Roddy. Brothers: Danny Allen (Roma), David Allen (Barbara) and Bobby Allen (Tari); Sisters: Cherry LeMieux, Kathy Gueho (Fred), Darlene Blankenship and Marlene Whitehead (Michael) and Brother In-laws: Randy Allen and James Ross.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation and services which will be held at Ourso Funeral Home 13533 Airline Hwy Gonzales on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hope Haven Cemetery Gonzales, LA.
