

Sterling Joseph Hebert, Jr., 73, a resident and businessman in Gonzales, LA went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 26, 2017. He was owner of Hebert Steel for over 39 years. Survived by his wife of 20 years Sharon Neyland Green Hebert; his mother Hilda Mason Hebert; children, son Sterling Hebert III (SJ) and wife Gloria; daughter Sonia Hebert O’Gwynn and husband Chris; son Steven Hebert and wife Jessica and son Sean Hebert and wife Michele; stepson Robert Green and wife Robyn, stepdaughter Amy Green Duplessis and husband Jason. Survived by brothers Ronnie Hebert and wife Claudia, Gary Hebert and fiance’ Debbie Dooley; sisters Janet Hebert and Carol Hebert Lee and husband Robert; grandchildren Darah, Sterling IV, Alexis, Blake, Noah, Nicholas, Steven, Jr., Jolie, Jade and Jacob Hebert; Savannah, Shannon, John-Michael and Sadie Adams; step grandchildren Jas Duplessis and wife Kristina, Aja and Ali Duplessis, Dillon and Clay Green, Jay Olivencia and Savannah Toups; great grandchildren Michelle, Lannie and Hendrix. Preceded in death by his father Sterling Hebert, Sr., first wife and mother of his children Lois Chauvin Hebert and brother Darryl Hebert and sister-in-law Cynthia Hebert. He was loved by many family and friends. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church and was a 3rd degree Knights of Columbus. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28 from 5PM – 9PM at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales. Visitation will be held at St. Mark on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 11AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 1PM. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
