A proud member of his community, Wally served as President of The Jambalaya Festival Association for more than 20 years after winning the title of Jambalaya King in 1993.
Wally’s legacy of hard work, community involvement, and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Taillon and Bertha Anderson Taillon; and his brothers, Gilbert Taillon and Alfred Taillon.
Wally leaves behind his loving wife, Rita Taillon; his children, Darrin and Kellie Taillon; his brother, Arthur Taillon Jr.; his grandchild, Joshua Taillon; and his great-granddaughter, Amari.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., with a committal service to follow at Hope Haven.
