Ara Dell Driver

Madison, TN

Age 88 passed away peacefully on March 7, 2014 while living in Tullahoma.

Dell was born in Smithville on July 29, 1925 to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Cantrell. She was also preceded in death by husbands, Bill Crecelius and H.D. Driver.

Having received her Masters degree from George Peabody College, she retired from the Nashville School System having taught at Hume Fogg, East Nashville, Issac Litton and Stratford High Schools. Dell was a very active member of Lockeland Baptist Church in Nashville and Parkway Baptist Church in Goodlettsville. She was a long time volunteer on behalf of Child Evangslism, Madison Hospital and Skyline Hospital.

Her survivors are daughters, Nancy (Ken) Bearden of Murfreesboro, Cathy Smith of Tullahoma and Beth Mason of Nashville.

A Celebration of Dell's life will be held 10 am Monday, March 10, 2014 at Forest Lawn Chapel with Brother Ken Castleberry officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 3-5 pm and 1 hour prior to the servie Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 2 pm Monday at Whorton Springs Cemetery, Highway 56 South, Smithville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Parkway Baptist Church, 505 Cunniff Parkway, Goodlettsville.
