Barbara Jean Farless, age 78, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. She was born Thursday, November 21, 1935 in Nashville, Tennessee and is preceded in death by her parents, William and Jessie Vanatta Hoffman; her husband James Robert Farless.
Barbara worked for Worthan Bag for several years before she became an administrative assistant with Shoney's for 20 plus years. She was State Champion Female Athlete, playing softball, basketball and field hockey.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lori (Bobby) Quave; sons, Jimmy (Donna) Farless, Steve (Sherry) Farless; sister, ann Clark; grandchildren, Jessica Farless, Buddy Thompson, Steve Farless, Jr., Sturary Farless, McKenzie Farless and Madison Farless. great-grandchildren, Nathan Farless, Eathan Hagwood,m Jordayn Bain-Thompson.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 2:00, in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
