Billie Ruth Wheat, age 90, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Born Monday, August 12, 1923 in Springfield, Tennessee to the late Joe Cephas and Leta Moore Henderson; and she is preceded in death by her husband, Andy Wheat, Sr.; son, Bill Wheat; grandson, Peter Wheat.
Mrs. Wheat is survived by her son, Andy Wheat, Jr.; four grandchildren, Rebekah (Heath) Smith, Deborah Wheat, Cher Morris, Crystal (Michael) Wheat eleven great-grandchildren, Hayden, Hannah, Ella Grace Smith, Angel Southgate, Sidney Morris, Layne, Justus, Bryce, Brayden, Micah, Makenzie Wheat; one great-great-grandchild, Starla Mayberry.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in the chapel of Eastland Funeral Home, with Bro. Kevin Shrum officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Family and friends will gather to remember Mrs. Wheat, at a visitation, Tuesday, March 4, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm, and Wednesday, March 5, 2014 10:00 am until the service at Eastland Funeral Home, 904 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37206.
