

Bonnie O’Geal “Jill” Ray Woods, age 90 of Greenbrier, TN went to her Heavenly home with the Lord on February 22,2026 at Highland Care Facility in Portland, Tennessee. Jill was born on November 21,1935 to Oliver Estle & Effie Alma Long Ray. She worked in the Women’s Department for Castner Knott, where she remained until her retirement from Macy’s. Jill was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devout Christian, and an active member of Zion Chapel Assembly of God in Greenbrier, TN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband and love of her life, Charles Woods; grandson John Brandon Hicks; brothers, Willie and Bradley Ray; sisters, Willadean Swift and Shirley Swift; son-in law, John Reynolds III.
She is survived by her children; Angie Reynolds, Victor Woods (Glenda), Lori Hicks (Ricky) and Janet Woods; Sisters Betty Faulkner and Sally Russell; Grandchildren, Amy Allen (Gary), Sherry Parks (Dennis), Susan Woods (Erin), Jeremy Woods, and Rachel Harrington (Christopher). Great-Grandchildren; Alicia Aker (Jeremy), Austin Parks (Sierra), Ethan, Joseph, Kaylee and Rory. Great-Great Grandchildren; Lily, Josh, Justice (Emily), Jacob (Mikaela), Joseph, Clarabelle, Nevaeh, Easton and Jaxon; and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie Jill, affectionately known as Granny, was an exemplary woman in all she accomplished. She was kind and compassionate, always doing what she could to serve others and spread the joy of the Lord. She leaves behind a legacy of graciousness and goodness. Whether it was a prayer, a helping hand, her fashionable taste, or her banana cake, she always gave it with a smile and a gentle hand. She loved her family fiercely, and was treasured by many.
A Celebration of Life will be held on 3/7/26 @11:00AM at Zion’s Chapel Assembly of God in Greenbrier, TN with Bro. Larry Marlar officiating.
