Brenda loved God and lived with the certainty that she was loved by Him. She lived a life full of laughter, compassion, and fearless love. To know her was to love her, as she never met a stranger.
Whether you were family, a friend, or just passing through, she had a way of making you feel like you.
Wild-hearted and full of grit, Brenda lived life on her own terms. She was the kind of woman who might break into a dance in the kitchen—or in the middle of a thrift store. She laughed loudly, loved even louder, and welcomed everyone with open arms. Her door was always open, the coffee was always hot, and she always had time for a story or two.
She adored animals, especially dogs, and had a soft spot for every four-legged friend she met. She also found joy in feeding the squirrels and hummingbirds outside her front yard each day.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Eliza Sliger; her brothers, Richard and Lynn Sliger; and her beloved baby sister, Linda Paulette Sliger.
She is survived by the love of her life, Roger Warrick, her best friend and fiercest supporter. Together, they shared a love so radiant that anyone could feel it in their presence.
Brenda is also survived by her twin daughters, Michelle Mingesz Patton (Sean) and Melissa Steele; her stepchildren, Roger Warrick Jr., Katie Warrick-Durham (Matt), and Rebecca Loucks; her grandchildren, Christopher Patton, Seth Steele (Anna), Kelsey Steele DeCelles (Daniel), Samantha Patton Miller (Andre), Alexis, Jazmin, Savannah, Isaiah, Gabrielle, Isabelle, Allison, and Penelope; and her great-grandchildren, Emma Steele, Charlotte DeCelles, Maverick DeCelles, and Amelia Miller—all of whom carry her fire and spirit forward.
Brenda leaves behind a legacy of joy, boldness, and unconditional love, along with countless unforgettable memories.
The family will celebrate her life and fulfill her final wishes on October 25, 2025, when she makes her final trip to her happy place. In her honor, the family asks that you share a story, love the people around you as she always would, and perhaps give an extra piece of cheese to a dog.
