Charlcia Vona Keener

In Loving Memory of Charlcia Vona Gambill Keener, 84 years of age, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. Charlcia was born October 27, 1938 in Jenkins Kentucky to the late Charlie and Arizona Gambill and was the youngest of 8 siblings. She was baptized on December 6th 1953 at The First Baptist Church of Jenkins, Kentucky.

Charlicia was dedicated to raising her children and worked in retail. She loved to read books of all kinds and had a library of many, many books at her home. She was the best cook ever to anyone who had eaten her meals. She was always there to listen and give advice, although it may not be what you wanted to hear she would be honest. She loved her simple life and would give to you when she had it to give.

She is survived by her children, Vanessa Capps, Scott Davis (Julie Brockman Davis), Barry Davis; grandchildren Christopher Fritts, Jessica Davis Baker, Wendy Howard, Heather Davis, Shelby Davis; several nieces, nephews, other beloved extended family and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Charlie Gambill and mother Arizona Moore Gambill; siblings James, Roberta, Rhudell, Virginia, Garnell, Betty, Bobby; Ex-husband Joe Davis and their child Cynthia Davis.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Charlicia Gambill Keener, to a charity of choice.

A private memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
