Emma Dean Adams

Ms. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, beloved son, Danny Linville, siblings Mae Belle Hudson (sister), Velma Lloyd (sister), Sue Myers (sister), Laura Stubblefield (sister), Pluma Gentry (sister), Jessie Rice (brother) and Cleo Rice (brother). Ms. Adams was the youngest child.

She is survived by her daughters, Edith Edna Miller and Gale Scales (Clyde Scales), cherished grandchildren; Dobby Wayne Miller, Michelle Tankersley-Smith (Eric Smith), Shawn Wright, Velma June Pearson (Mike Pearson), Kelly Day, Morris Wright (Jaden Wright), Brian Linville, Emma Nicole Scott (Patrick Scott), Brent Linville (Elizabeth Linville); great-grandchildren, Caleb Dwayne Key, Thomas Jordan Key (T.J.), Christopher Wright, Trent Zachary Tankersley (Holly Tankersley), Adrienne Jaide Driver (Jarrett Driver), Drew Williams (Brandi Williams), Christian Payton Burgess, Kelsey Williams, Shelbie Alexandria Butterworth, Larry Zane Arbuckle, Morgan Linville, Timothy Wayne Miller, Madison Linville, Aya Wright, Caley Linville, Katie Linville, Bryce Linville, Brogan Everett Smith; a host of great-great grandchildren, niece/nephews, cousins, her fur baby, “Baby” as well as many other extended family and friends.

Ms. Adams was devoted to God and her family. She retired from Shoney's Commissary after 20 years. She always welcomed family to her dining table and no one ever left hungry. Ms. Adams enjoyed cooking, gardening/flowers, bowling, fishing, going to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her longtime companion and caregiver, Edith Miller (daughter) who lived with her for over 20 years, were "two peas in a pod" and were inseparable. She loved her nephew, J.C and they talked on the phone every night before going to bed. She will be dearly missed but will live in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Ms. Adams will be held 10am until 12pm Monday, May 8, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1150 S. Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville TN.

A graveside service will follow at 1pm Monday in the Pinecrest Garden at Springhill Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Pike S., Nashville TN 37216 with Dobby Wayne Miller, Larry Zane Arbuckle, Patrick Scott, Eric Smith, Mike Pearson, Brian Linville serving as pallbearers.

A special thank you to Nurses, Natalie, Tyler and Julie of HighPoint Hospice-all hold a special place in our hearts; and Mildred Franklin (niece) for her support and guidance with planning and preparations.
