Eunice H. Sears

Her Titles were many: she was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, best friend, neighbor, care-giver, entrepreneur, business woman, and philanthropist. She was a member of the Hendersonville church of Christ for over 66 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Howell and Lala Dusenberry; her husband of 54 years Clyde W. Sears Jr.; her sisters Georgia Koch and Patricia Hines; her daughter Pamela Sears Cunningham, her daughter-in-law Janice Elaine Sears and her granddaughter-in-law Angel Sears. Eunice is survived by her sons Clyde Philip Sears (Marilyn) and Paul Wilson Sears (Jan), and son-in-law Ben Donald Cunningham (Mikie).

She leaves behind grandchildren: Jeffrey Donald Cunningham of Atlanta; Kellie Marie Hicks of Gallatin, Matthew Parker Sears of White House, Kimberly Michelle Smith (Alex) of Gladeville.

Great grandchildren include: Jacqueline Cunningham, Kate Cunningham, Kevin Hicks, Aidan Parham, Zoe Smith, Parker Sears, Keaton Sears, Colin Sears and Griffin Sears.

Nieces and Nephews include: Kevin Hines (Emily), Kim Sullivan (Tim), Kirk Hines (Shelly) and Ken Koch (Pam).

Eunice was born on March 12, 1927 in Old Hickory, TN and was graduated from Goodlettsville High School in 1945. She spent many years working in retail for the Kay Jewelry Corporation rising from sales person to Credit Manager, Store Manager and nation wide store Auditor.

She was often awarded for her sales performance and commitment to excellence. Customer service was equally important to her. The corporation often sent her to other stores that needed assistance in sales and operations.

She and her husband also owned and operated a Pearle Vision store in Donelson, TN. She was also a member of the Soroptimists, a business women's organization.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Alive Hospice of Nashville (1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN 37203) or to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Program (PO Box 11180, Nashville, TN., 37222).
