

Preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ron Smith; her mother, Lillian Darby Garrett; sister, Brenda Vaughn.
Glenda is survived by her son, Ashley (Jennifer) Smith; daughter, Julie (Tyler) Judge; grandchildren, Maura Smith, Andy Smith and Lillian Judge; father, Clifton Garrett; brother, Larry (Sherry) Garrett; her little dog, Ginger.
Glenda graduated from Goodlettsville High School and retired after many years of service from the Hendersonville Public Library. She loved her family greatly and enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She looked forward to "Fun Days" with her grandchildren whether it be going to a movie, shopping, eating or baking together. Glenda always had cold drinks in the fridge and the candy bowl ready for whoever stopped by. She was called by some the most thoughtful, giving person they had known, always sending cards and letters to show her love , appreciation, or give an encouraging word and crocheting blankets for the new babies. Glenda worshipped at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where her strong Faith in God grew even more.
A visitation for Glenda will be held Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Monday, June 30, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM followed by a service at 10:00 AM with Pastor Nelson Garrett officiating at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with nephews Mike Vaughn, Justin Garrett, Josh Garrett, Ethan Garrett, Spencer Garrett, and Blake Garrett serving as pallbearers.
