Kenneth Ray Sipsy

“Zippy the Clown”

Born July 11, 1944. Passed away July 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gladys Sipsy; father and mother, Sam and Viola Sipsy; brother, Buddy Sipsy; and sisters, Geraldine Sipsy Kinnard, Marilyn Sipsy Williams, Peggie Sipsy Davidson, Wanda Sipsy Hutchinson, and Carolyn Sipsy. He is survived by daughter, Kim Steinle (Jason); step-daughter, Teresa Spann; sister, Brenda Sipsy; favorite granddaughter, Ali Shoulders; favorite grandson, Luke Steinle; and friend, Linda Dawson. Kenny was retired from the United Methodist Publishing House. He was a past master of Madison Lodge #762 and a member of the Al Menah Shrine, where he was a lifetime member of the clown unit. He brought joy to numerous boys and girls over the years as Zippy the Clown. His greatest joys were his grandchildren whom he always made sure were “well loved”. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Funeral services will be for family only and will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, July 20, 2020 in the chapel of Forest Lawn with burial following in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19, visitation will not be held at this time and a Celebration of Life service will be planned in the coming months.
