Rachel Travis Ruffin, a beloved and kind-hearted soul, passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on March 2, 1948, Rachel was a cherished resident of Cedar Hill, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herschel and Emma Travis, her brother Herschel Travis Jr (Becky Sullivan), her nephew Arlie Travis, and her sister Inez Geneaway (David).

Rachel is survived by her devoted husband of almost 60 years, James, and her loving sons, J Travis Ruffin and Philip Michael Ruffin. She also leaves behind her cherished grandson, Bradon Ruffin.

Rachel found joy and peace in reading her Bible every day, a testament to her deep faith and spiritual devotion.

A committal service will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, located at 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. The service is scheduled for January 20, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

Rachel Travis Ruffin will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
