

CANNON, Shirley G. of Goodlettsville, peacefully entered her eternal home on December 28th, 2012, two days before her 78th birthday. She was the daughter of the late Katherine and Herman Manners. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Walter and Halton Manners as well as her sister Melba Gregg. Survived by her husband of 61 years, Bobby Ray Cannon: two daughters, of whom she was very proud, Debra (Buddy) Mullins and Pamela (Neal) Ford: three grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Jason (Amy) Ford, Brandon (Stephanie) Mullins and Brittany FordFlener: four great-grandchildren of whom she was overjoyed with, Tatem and Talen Flener and Judah and Anna Ford: one brother Jimmy (Peggy) Manners, two sisters Barbara Ruth (Jimmy) Ray and Gloria (Gilbert) Sherrill: as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.She loved the outdoors and had a green thumb. She enjoyed creating a colorful flower garden and could always make it bloom spectacularly. She was known for her fiesty personality and head strong ways. She loved to laugh and was bold in words. She was a loyal wife, loving mother and sister and devoted Mawmaw. A gathering of family and friends will be held from ten to two on Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Goodlettsville with Alan Sircy conducting the service following visitation.
