Wendy was born August 21, 1951, in Cape Girardeau, MO, to parents Wendell and Bernice Suits. She spent most of her childhood growing up in West Memphis, AR, and moved to Nashville in 1971 to pursue a career as a vocalist session musician. Wendy was very successful in her field, contributing her talents to numerous recordings and television shows that are still popular to this day. Wendy’s positive, bubbly personality left a lasting impression on all who met her.
Wendy is preceded in death by her parents Wendell and Bernice, and her brother Bob. She is survived by her husband Tom Johnson and daughter Laura Small.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eastland Funeral Home, in Nashville, TN, on Saturday October 26, from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm.
