David Alan Whitten

David A. Whitten, age 63, of Goodyear AZ passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and kindness. He was born on July 29, 1961, and was the beloved husband of Kathryn Whitten, with whom he shared many years of happiness and companionship.

David was a devoted stepfather to Gregory, Patrick, and Daniel, and cherished his role as a father figure to them as well as a beloved Grandfather to his Grandchildren, Liam and Emma. He was an unwavering source of support and guidance for his family, always putting others before himself and offering a kind word or helping hand whenever it was needed. His family was his pride and joy, and he leaves behind a profound void in their hearts.

David's warmth and generosity extended far beyond his immediate family. He was known for his infectious smile, great sense of humor, and the genuine care he showed to all who crossed his path. Whether in his work or in his personal life, David believed in the power of kindness and the importance of building strong, meaningful relationships. He made a positive impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons imparted, and the love he gave so freely. It will also live on in his art, David’s passion was photography and this was his creative outlet and love letter to the world around him.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday November 30th at Estrella Mountain Church (10485 Estrella Pkwy, Goodyear, AZ 85338) from 4:30-7PM
