

He was born April 7, 1947 in Roswell, NM. to George Sarver Jr. and Helen (Walker) Sarver.
George proudly served his country as a Green Beret in the Army (RA INF SP 4) from 1967 until 1970. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Parachute Badge, the Air Medal and a Purple Heart.
He continued his military service in the Air Force from 1971-1976.
He enjoyed hunting with his son, brother and nephews. He liked photography and was always taking pictures and creating great memories.
He worked for many years in the nuclear power industry. He retired from the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant.
His firm foundation was his faith in Jesus. He was a Deacon at the White Tanks Southern Baptist Church. He was very knowledgeable in scripture.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vivian, his son Wayne and daughter Keri (Jim) Parker Warner, his step-son Jeffrey (Jamie) Swaffield, his seven grandchildren and his brother Tim (Effa) Sarver.
George was preceded in death by his son Andrew in 2015 and his sister, Barbra Helen Willcox in 2024.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Cleveland Clinic/Philanthropy Institute-Perthes disease in Ohio, D.A.V. Chapter 10 in Glendale, AZ. or the White Tanks Southern Baptist Church.
A memorial service will be held at White Tanks Baptist Church, located at 1420 N. 192nd Ave., Buckeye, AZ. The service is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 11 AM, with an inurnment to follow.
