Gerald Forrest Oglesbee Sr.

We mourn the passing of our beloved father, Gerald F Oglesbee, Sr., who left us on April 3, 2026 at the age of 92. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, whose warmth, wisdom and steady presence touched all who knew him.

Gerald was born in Madison County lowa, on the family farm on August 14, 1933. Gerald lived a life of quiet strength and unwavering integrity. He worked as a Purchasing agent for Geneva Generics Pharmacutical in Broomfield, CO. He was also an active member of the Lions International Club for 32 years. He received several awards, including the Melvin Jones Award.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Dolores, his children Deborah Hill (Kevin), Karla Brandenburg, Jerry Oglesbee (Kathy) and his grandchildren, Scott Ulrich (Sheila), Joseph Brandenburg (Kellie), Ryan Brandenburg (Sarah), Kelsey Oglesbee (Chad), Kourtney Oglesbee (Charlie), Devere Hill, Colton Oglesbee, and the great grandchildren; Cassidy Ulrich, Kyler Brandenburg, Bryce Brandenburg, Memphis Ulrich, Maddux Ulrich, Aydain Bladder, Jackson Brandenburg, Morgan Brandenburg, Avery Hoagland. Gerald was the last living sibling of his family.

We will miss him greatly, but we carry forward his memory in our daily lives, in the lessons he taught us, and in the love he shared so freely.
