Norma Jean McCullough (nee Wainwright), born on February 16, 1932 in Osborne Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home in Avondale, Arizona, March 6, 2025. She was a beacon of love and laughter in the lives of many, and her departure leaves a profound void that will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Norma was a beloved sister, aunt, cousin, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.
Norma was married to Robert Sr. (Bob) for 38 years and had four children Robert Jr, Michael, Patricia and Kathleen. Bob was career military which meant they traveled all over the world in the early years. Norma was not able to pursue a career due to her full-time job as homemaker, raising her children and managing a military family that often relocated. They settled in San Jose, California in 1969 where the kids graduated from high school and began their lives.
Norma did enjoy family gatherings at her house and later in life at her children and grandchildren’s homes. She also enjoyed her bowling leagues as it was a chance for her to hang out with friends. She never passed up a good game of Bingo.
Norma is joined in eternal rest with her husband Bob, eldest son Bob Jr, youngest daughter Kathleen, her siblings and parents. Norma leaves a legacy of love and family connection that resonates in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be missed more than words can say, but her spirit will forever light the paths of those who loved her dearly.
